Design Project
Through this project, I wanted to look beyond statistics and understand what it means to live in Hong Kong’s subdivided flats. Working with SoCO, I visited residents in Sham Shui Po, documenting their cramped, deteriorating homes and listening to their personal experiences. Meeting Mr. Wai made me reflect on how inadequate living conditions can affect a person’s physical well-being, dignity and sense of possibility.

Architecture Project
Following my research into Hong Kong’s subdivided flats, I wanted to understand how limited space affects family life and explore how design could address these challenges. Visiting Mr. Lo’s 226-square-foot apartment in Shek Mun Estate, I observed how his family used multifunctional furniture and vertical storage to maximise their home.

Design Project
Inspired by my internship at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, Bali, I developed Frangi, a collection of sustainable hotel amenities addressing single-use plastic waste. Drawing inspiration from the frangipani flower and traditional Balinese carvings, I created a distinctive brand identity and decorative soap bars using Procreate, Adobe Illustrator and Rhino. I designed silicone moulds for casting the soaps and developed a self-draining soap stand made from recycled plastic sheets sourced from Wedoo. The collection also includes sustainable packaging inspired by local craft traditions. Through this project, I combined product design, digital modelling and material experimentation to explore how thoughtful design can enhance the guest experience while reducing environmental impact.

Design Project
Inspired by my experiences at Room4Dessert and Powder Room in Ubud, Bali, I developed Room2Share, a retail concept that reimagines traditional souvenirs as sustainable, edible gifts. Combining Balinese culinary traditions with local craft techniques, I designed handmade packaging from pandan leaves, creating a distinctive presentation inspired by Balinese floral offerings and symbolism. The concept also introduces workshops where visitors can create their own gifts while connecting with local traditions. Through this project, I explored how sustainable packaging, cultural heritage and interactive experiences can transform souvenirs into meaningful ways of sharing a taste of Bali.

Architecture Project
Inspired by Potato Head’s sustainability initiatives in Bali, I developed WeaveWaves, an interactive installation that transforms repurposed plastic into a shared guest experience. Using Procreate and Rhino, I designed modular, wave-shaped structures inspired by ocean currents and water bubbles. Guests can personalise hanging charms using recycled plastic and collected shells, contributing to a collaborative artwork that raises awareness of marine pollution. The installation also incorporates a participatory making experience, allowing visitors to engage with sustainable materials and local environmental initiatives. Through this project, I explored how spatial design, material reuse and collective participation can create meaningful hotel experiences while encouraging more responsible relationships with the environment.
